²Before ^(A)the mountains were born
^[a]Or You ^(B)brought forth the earth and the world,
Even ^(C)from everlasting to everlasting, You are God.

³You ^(D)turn man back into dust
And say, “Return, O sons of men.”
⁴For ^(E)a thousand years in Your sight
Are like ^(F)yesterday when it passes by,
^[b]Or as a ^(G)watch in the night.
